The final step has a question mark. On purpose. Because re-connecting with community looks different for everyone.

There is no right level of connection. Only your level.

The 5 levels of connection

• Level 1 – Silent witness – You read. You never post. That is enough.
• Level 2 – Occasional visitor – You like. You comment sometimes. You are present.
• Level 3 – Active participant – You share your story. You support others.
• Level 4 – Community anchor – You welcome new members. You start conversations.
• Level 5 – Creator – You build something from your grief. A blog. A group. A ritual.

After Miko died, I was Level 1. Silent. Just reading.

After Jiraiya died, I became Level 5. I built Untethered Paws.

Neither was wrong. Both were exactly what I needed at that time.

Where are you today?

You do not need to change levels. You just need to be honest with yourself. And if you are alone and it feels like drowning — reach for one level higher. Just one. Even if it is just reading one comment and pressing like.
